    It lias been suggested that the responsibility of taking the Census should be transferred from Boards of Guardians to Local Health Authorities, as the latter have a more direct concern with the preparation and consideration of vital statistics. The enumeration areas could then be fixed so as to coincide with the areas concerning which Medical Officers of Health require detailed information. VITAL STATISTICS.
