Description

In 1935 The Pioneer Health Centre, better known as the Peckham Experiment, opened in South East London. Run as a family club, it was an experiment by Dr George Scott Williamson and Dr Innes Pearse to discover and promote the growth of positive health. Almost 60 years later it still provides an important model for a healthy society, where the quality of health and vitality is important. Former members reminisce about their happy memories of using the Centre. It uses extensive archival photographs and moving image material to explore what made the centre so different and so relevant.
