Includes the appended "Methodicale discorse" on dysentery (leaves 47-49) and "An apologye, for the chirurgians" (leaves 49-54)
Dedication to Ladye Elisabeth ... Queene of Englande, Fraunce, and Irelande," signed by her "wellwillinge subjecte," Maximiliane Bauman, "chirurgien at Dort, who causede ... [the work] to be translated both into English and Lowdutch" The Dutch translation was also published at Dordrecht in 1598 under title: De Fransoysche chirurgie. (Cf. Bibl.
