About this work

Description

The Newcomen Clinic at Guy's Hospital, Southwark, was established ca. 1970 as a centre for the assessment and treatment of children with cerebral palsy, learning difficulties, and neurological problems. Ronald MacKeith was the first or one of the first directors (ca. 1970). The present poster, together with associated leaflets, was commissioned by the consultant pediatrician Dr Dorothy Egan to encourage parents to talk to their young children, in order to aid their mental development
