The set of Mr Thompson's papers includes some Burroughs Wellcome memorabilia, but also photographs and patent designs for apparatus for both Wellcome and for Crookes. In brief –

Biographical note
Frederick John Warburton Thompson worked for Burroughs Wellcome (c.1903 - 1926) and later for Crookes Laboratories, which is now part of Reckitt Benckiser (1926 - ?). He was also Henry Wellcome’s private secretary for a time.
