Catalogue of the genuine and entire museum of curious subjects of natural history, of John Strange, Esq. Fellow of the Royal and Antiquary Societies, &c. Late of Portland Place, Deceased. Comprising One of the most extensive and valuable Collections in Europe, of the exuviae of Corals, Fishes, Insects, Shells, Vegetables, and other organic Remains, deposited in the Earth, at or antecedent to the universal Deluge; to the Attainment and Knowledge of which Bodies, Mr. Strange had chiefly directed his Researches and Studies, and towards their History made large Collectanea, particularly during his long Residence as British-Minister at the Court of Venice, and on his Travels in France, Germany, Italy, and especially in England and Wales; including many rare, curious, and interesting Subjects, together with a great Variety of scientific Specimens of the Calcareous, Barytical, Magnesian and Siliceous Earths, Ores of Metals, Volcanic Productions, and other Minerals and their aggregates, recent Corals, Shells, Vegetables, &c. Which will be sold by auction, By order of the Executors, and agreeable to his Will, by Mr. King, At his great room, King-Street, Covent-Garden, on Friday, July 11, 1800, And Seven following Days, (sunday excepted.) At Twelve O'Clock. May be viewed and Catalogues had at the Place of Sale, price 2s each, which will be allowed to Purchasers.

A catalogue of the genuine collection of curious subjects of natural history: Consisting of Great variety of scarce and beautiful shells, corals, minerals, petrifactions, stuffed birds, insects, &c. Together with antique gems, statues, busts, lamps, fibolas, etruscan and roman earthern-ware, and other remains of antiquity. As also various pieces of antient statined glass, pictures, (among which is a capital miniature portrait of General George Monk, Duke of Albermarle, by Cooper,) Prints, and drawings, framed and glased, &c. of Edward Jacob, Esq., F.A.S. of feversham, author of antiquities of feversham, plantæ fevershamienes, sheepy fossils, &c. and of the the Rev. Mr. Lightfoot, chaplain to the late Dutchess Dowager of Portland, both deceased: which by order of their executors, will be sold by auction, by Mr. Gerard, at his House, in Litchfield-Street, St. Anne's, Soho, on Monday, June 8; 1789, and the three following days, at half after eleven o'clock precisely. A catalogue of the genuine and capital collection of natural history, collected by that well-known connoisseur, the late Charles Chauncey, M.D. Fellow of the Royal Antiquarian Society, together with several curious articles selected by his brother Nathaniel Chauncery, Esq. deceased: Among which we a pleasing affortment of beautiful shells, some of them very scarce, particularly the orange gowry, and two elegant cups, formed of the nautilus shell, finely engraved and carved by C. Bellekin; a great variety of agates, mochos, jaspers, sardonyxes, crystals, gems, and other curious stones, remarkable for beauty or rarity; corals, petrifactions; uncommonly fine specimens of amber gum-copal, some of them inclosing insects; preserved birds, and numerous other productions of nature, together with the elegant mahogany cabinets and glass cases which contained them. Which by order of the executors of Nathaniel Chauncey, Esq. late of Castle-Street, Leicester-Fields. Will be sold by auction, by Mr. Gerard, at his house in Litchfield-Street, St. Anne's, Soho, on Monday, April 12, 1790, and the three following days, at twelve o'clock precisely. To be viewed on Friday, the 9th, and Saturday, the 10th from ten o'clock till three.
