About this work

Description

High magnification fluorescence microscope image showing a cross section of the optic nerve in a zebrafish embryo. The yellow stain shows the distribution of the Noi protein in the nuclei of individual nerve cells, while the green indicates cytokeratin filaments throughout the cells. Noi protein is involved in eye and optic nerve development. (Credit: J. Scholes & S. Wilson)
