About this work
Description
A short film about the great influenza epidemic of 1919. Dr. Wise's lecture about avoiding influenza germs intercuts a short moving film. The film shows a man in the street meeting a friend who is sneezing and looks unwell. The caption tells us that 'Jones' should not have associated with 'Brown.' Brown sits in his office and sneezes. Various people come in and out and soon they are all sneezing while Brown is looking increasingly unwell. The caption suggests that he should have avoided indoor 'assemblies.'
