In memory of a brave man, the late Paul Bennett Conolly. Author's holograph MS. London Written in pencil on the versos of old examination papers. The subject of this tribute was a military surgeon, who had seen service in several wars from the Russo-Turkish War [1877-1879] to the Gordon Relief Expedition of 1885, when he died of enteric fever at Korti.
