Notes

Each part has special title page, and separate paging
The first four works were translated by Nicolas Barnaud. The two following translations are not signed. Pts. [3-4] were translated by Jacques Girard
The work here ascribed to Jean de Meun is practically identical with Bacon's Le miroir d'alquimie. The latter is translated from his Speculum alchimiae
Besides the work by Bacon this collection contains 'Table d'esmeraude de Hermes Trismegiste. L'Hortulain sur ladicte table. Secrets de Calid Juif. Miroir de maistre Jean de Mehun'. Four other treatises are mentioned in the 'Table' on the verso of the t.p.; but they do not occur, though this copy is apparently complete.
