About your speaker

Emily Engel

Emily Engel was a social worker for 35 years.  When she started working with people who were terminally ill and faced the inevitability of death, life suddenly felt more important. When she retired, she trained as an end-of-life doula, and her interest and care about life and death have continued to grow since then.
