What you’ll do

Join historian Lauren Johnson as she explores the consequences of Henry VI’s mental collapse as England lost the Hundred Years War with France. Discover what treatments were available at the time, and how they were influenced by religious beliefs, astrology and witchcraft. There will be an opportunity for you to ask questions.

Lauren Johnson

Lauren Johnson is a historian with a decade’s experience working in live costumed interpretation at heritage sites internationally. She is the author of ‘Shadow King: The Life and Reign of Henry VI’, ‘So Great a Prince: England and the Accession of Henry VII’ and the novel ‘The Arrow of Sherwood’.
