Come and hear Dr Emma Spary discuss her research on the often-overlooked role of priests in the history of pharmacy. Beginning with a Wellcome manuscript, she will explore the growth of pharmaceutical enterprise in Louis XIV’s Paris and how religious orders produced and used medicinal drugs. Following her paper there will be an opportunity for you to discuss her ideas.
We’ll be in the Viewing Room. It’s next to the Library entrance on level 2, which you can reach by taking the lift or the stairs.
